Mark Linné

Mark R. Linné is the Chief Analytics Officer for Lakewood, Colorado-based ValueScape Analytics LLC., a provider of advanced analytics for the real estate industry. He holds more key appraisal designations than any appraiser in the world. Selected as the 2012 winner of the Valuation Visionary award by members of the Collateral Risk Network, an organization comprised of chief appraisers, government sponsored enterprises (GSEs) and key national stakeholders. Linné is an inventor, and holds key industry patents, is an author of four books and more than 50 articles, is a speaker, columnist and was recently named a fellow of the Center for Valuation Economics, an industry think-tank looking at future trends for the appraisal industry.

I have been fixated on the future for most of my career.  At some point the quotation "The best way to predict the future is to invent it" became a core belief of mine. It's funny how many people I come across have a similar perspective.

People with ideas will drive the future of our industry. There are many with ideas. But frankly, ideas are easy. What is more of a challenge is bringing an idea to fruition.  Mainstreaming innovation is even harder.
