Our 15th edition of Valuation Expo is over and everyone that attended told us it was one of the best ever! The Collateral Risk Network meeting had more attendees than ever before and the CRN party hosted by ACI was said to be the networking event of the year.
Our Keynote speakers discussed the latest changes at Fannie, VA, HUD and the Appraisal Foundation. Other speakers discussed Alternative Valuation, Regulatory Compliance and, of course, we had our Valuation Visionary panel, which awarded the 2014 Valuation Visionary award to Jeff Bradford of Bradford Technologies. He gave a moving acceptance speech that left only a couple of dry eyes in the audience. We want to congratulate him again on earning this recognition.
The exhibitors were pleased with the number of lenders and appraisers in attendance this year. Ramir Rodriguez from SFREP told us, "This was my 5th Valuation Expo and it was by far the best that I have attended. It was a very active group and we enjoyed the energy surrounding the whole conference. We congratulate the Allterra Group team and thank them for another successful Valuation Expo! We are already looking forward to next year!"
One of our Silver Sponsors, NDC, had a skee-ball machine at their booth and they gave away prizes to the highest scorers. Karl Strnad from Chicago had the high score of 450,000 points. He took home a Kindle Fire HDX for blowing away the competition. (Karl was lucky enough to win this and an Appraisal Bee prize on his first trip ever to Valuation Expo!)
There was so much going on this year besides the continuing education and tradeshow floor. Solidifi and USRES were among the many sponsors that threw excellent cocktail parties for attendees.
Joe Volk and Chris Cunningham of "Team USA" won our Third Annual Cornhole Tournament sponsored by Real Valuation Services. In one of the most exciting finals ever, they squeaked out a championship win and took home the trophy. Jillian White and Francesca Esposito of White Picket Fences won the best team name award with "Corn to be Wild".
Once again the Appraisal Bee made winners out of the appraisers who took the time to fill out their cards. We want to thank the exhibitors for the great prizes they donated. Below is a list of this year’s winners.
